Once you install the software on the client, you can remotely access that computer to solve window’s related problems. I say window’s related problems because it runs as a window’s service on the client machine. If the problem is a boot up problem, then this software will not help. I routinely save travel time as I now don’t need to drive to the client to find out what the problem is. I simply start up logmein.com, remotely bring up the client’s computer and control the client’s desktop as if I had the computer right in front of me. I’ve used it to setup outlook pop accounts, fix driver problems, and disable those pesky browser virus add-ons. They have both a free version and a pay version. The pay version offering the ability to view things like a dashboard of computer health information and the ability to copy/move files between your computer and the client machine. The free version offers remote control access and that is what i use it for.

One of the most useful tools I’ve ever come across is LogMeIn.com.
